Mob Wars Calculator - Instructions

NOTE: You will need to use Firefox when you want to copy and paste your stockpile into the calculator. You do NOT need to use Firefox to play the game. Trust me. This tool is worth downloading Firefox!

Importing your stockpile into the calculator is a breeze!

Start on the INPUT tab and follow the steps listed there.

1) Enter your current level.

2) Enter your total number of mobsters (including real and hired guns). This is shown in the game next to 'My Mob'.

3) Enter the skill points you have allocated to Attack and Defense.

4) Indicate if you have Bodyguard and Goon contracts in place.

5) Decide if you want to include Safebusters in your attack totals (Y = yes, N = no).

6) If you do wish to include Safebusters, indicate if you want to limit them to 1 per mobster. There is some evidence that suggests that Safebusters are not limited by your mob size. However, there is such debate over if they even work, we have left it to you to decide if and how you want to include them in your total stats.

7) Select your browser - This version only works with Firefox. This was intended as a future option.

8) This is where the magic happens. First, from the calculator, click the "CLICK HERE for Weapons" link. That will take you to your Mob Wars Weapons page. Select everything (click and drag) from the header line labeled "ITEM PIC" in the top left corner of the weapons, all the way down to the bottom right corner of the list (ILLUSTRATION). Then copy everything you selected (Ctrl+C). Return to the calculator and find the yellow box under WEAPONS. Right Click this box and select "PASTE SPECIAL" (ILLUSTRATION). Select "as text" (ILLUSTRATION) and click OK. This will paste in all of your weapons. (ILLUSTRATION) NOTE: If you recently bought, or sold/removed any items, notices of these actions could show in your stockpile list (even if they don't appear on your screen). Refresh your stockpile list before copying and pasting.

Repeat step 8 for each set of items: ARMOR, VEHICLES and SPECIAL ITEMS.

Note for OpenOffice users: You will not have a paste "as text" option. When you select Paste Special, it asks you if you want HTML format or Unformatted text. Highlight Unformatted text and click OK. You'll then get a Text Import page. Everything there should be fine, so you should simply be able to click OK there.

  • If you have problems, make sure the Text Import settings are as follows:
  • Character set = Unicode
  • From row = 1
  • Separator options = Separated by
  • Separated by = Tab
  • Text delimiter = "

I know your first question is going to be - "This tab is a mess! How am I supposed to keep this up-to-date when I add items to my stockpile?" That's the beauty of this calculator. You don't manually update it. You simply REPEAT STEP 8 to recopy your latest stockpile whenever you want your current stats.

9) Now that the stockpile has your stockpile inventory, it checks to see if it's up to date. If you're missing items, #9 will indicate how many. If not, it will state 'Your Master Stockpile List is not missing any items from your imported data.'

If you are missing items, go to the Master Stockpile Lists tab. Instructions for updating are listed under ADD NEW STOCKPILE.

10) Enter your arming items. The "pick lists" for each feature of arming can be sorted by attack or defense. Choose your preference on the green box. Then, click on the boxes next to each feature. The drop down lists show all items in the game ordered by attack or defense (as chosen in the 'Sort Pick Lists By' option). The number next to the item is the number owned. If you arm with something that affects your attack or defense, it will be reflect in your 'after arming' totals. Also, if you arm all 5 features, your bonus will be increased by 10% just like in the game. If you disarm, you can delete the entry on the calcultor using the delete button. (Changing an entry to N/A does NOT remove the 10% bonus if you're getting it.)

11) To consider the job and heist requirements in your results, go to the REQUIRED STOCKPILE tab. Indicate which heists and which jobs you are actively doing by putting a Y (for active) or N (for inactive) in the Active Heist and Active Job column. That's it! Visit the Analysis, Attack & Defense tabs for your results.

CITY tab (Manage your properties)

1) Select Mobster Type and indicate whether or not you have a collector contract in place (Y for yes, N for no).

2) Enter how much cash you have and how much you have in the bank (optional).

3) Select whether or not you wish to use bank savings for property purchases.

4) Go down the list and enter the number of each property owned. If you're already using a previous version of the calculator, you can copy and paste your property quantities from the old version to this one. Use copy, paste special - values.

The 'Buy Option' allows you to indicate whether or not a particular city is available to you.

I recommend buying in lots of 10, but by adjusting the Buying Amount, you can see the ROI for the whole purchase. (When you purchase 100, the price is NOT 10x the current price. It is the same as if you bought 10, then 10, then 10, etc.)
